Friends of the Shelter Work All Year Round Helping Victims of Domestic Abuse
APRIL 16, Hillsborough - The Friends of the Shelter dropped by today to deliver an assortment of housewares and cookware, donated to our annual Holiday Gift Shop for clients. Susan Haggerty, a member of the Friends Holiday committee said, "They (Macy's) were having such a terrific sale, I just couldn't pass up a chance to get the holiday shop well stocked."
The Friends of the Shelter leads the way at holiday time in the Winter and decorates, organizes, stocks and hosts our Holiday Gift Shop. Here, clients and their children can select gift items to give each other during the holidays. They help make what could be a melancholy moment turn into a joyful celebration of their new beginnings.
The Friends fund raise throughout the year to help support the Resource Center of Somerset. On Saturday, May 3rd, the will hold their 27th Annual Kentucky Derby Day at Baltusrol Country Club in Springfield, NJ. Information including reservations may be found at http://conta.cc/1npnBIw
