Time to Pick Up

Come join township's annual cleanup program to keep Hillsborough spiffy.

It's time for the annual fall cleaning of Hillsborough Township, and this year, the township is set to pick up the litter, trash and debris that's been accumulating in detention basins in town on Saturday.

The annual Cleanup Day is a volunteer program coordinated by the Department of Public Works that spends a morning focused on improving one area of town. Volunteers help clean up streets, parks—or basins. This year's participants will receive a Clean Communities T-shirt and a cinch sack for helping out.

This year's program is also recognizing the 28th annual Coastal Clean Up for New Jersey Clean Communities, joining in for the cleanup on the same day.

Volunteers can report to the DPW offices on East Mountain Road, where they will be provided any necessary equipment (and refreshments!) at 9 a.m. The project will last until noon, Saturday.

Residents are asked to RSVP to the township by calling 908-369-3950 by Thursday.
