Find a Summer Sports Camp in Hillsborough

If you want your child to join a sports camp this summer, read on for the best options.

Having your kids participate in an organized summer camp program is certainly not a necessity, but there are plenty of benefits, both physical and emotional, to be realized.

Socialization, fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork and increased self-esteem are just a few. Perhaps your child would like to develop or expand a particular expertise, or simply hone their skills in preparation for school teams or clubs.

The choices offered through Hillsborough High School's athletics department is likely the best place to start. There's a full slate of programs offered, all led by the school's varsity coaching staff.

You can also find some great camps at the Y, with the Hillsborough Family YMCA hosting camps on everything from lacrosse to soccer (and, of course, swimming).

If your child wants to spend a week or more away from home for camp, there are a variety of options across the country. Nike—yes, the footwear provider—operates numerous sports camps in hundreds of locations across the United States. Nearby camps include a golf camp in Piscataway and volleyball camp at Rutgers.

But if camp isn’t in the cards for your family this summer, there’s always the backyard, where any number of sporting activities can be performed!
