Three Grapplers Advance at Regionals

Opponents go scoreless in three matches.

Hillsborough three wrestler competing for a chance to head to the state tournament later enjoyed a strong showing at Wednesday's first round of the regional matches, with all three advancing after keeping opponents from scoring, according to the first round results posted on NJ.com.

In the 106-pound match, Adam LaBracio won 15-0 on a technical fall over Edison's Alex Naiduk. TrackWrestling.com says LaBracio entered the tournament as the third seed and will take on sixth-seeded Joe Bryde, of West Windsor-Plainsboro North, next. LaBracio, a senior, is knocking on a top ten ranking in his final varsity season.

Fourth-seeded 126-pounder Deric Winston decisioned Farnklin's Deshawn Hazel, 6-0, to advance. He takes on Hunterdon Central's fifth-seeded Dylan Nace, next.

And in the 160-pound matches, third seed Tyler Workman made quick work of Vinny Porreca, of West Windsor-Plainsboro North, with a pin at 25 seconds. He'll face Princeton's David Klinges, the number six seed, next.
