The Somerset County Park Commission Environmental Education Center at 190 Lord Stirling Road in Basking Ridge has scheduled the following Naturalist-led programs to help children and adults enjoy the wonders of nature as spring brightens Somerset County. The Environmental Education Center provides many entertaining and educational programs for children and adults year around.

CHILDREN & TEEN PROGRAMS
Story Hour
Saturday, May 3 from 10:30 A.M. to 11:30 A.M.
Children ages infant to 5 with a parent will listen to a Naturalist read an
environmental-based story and enjoy a short walk on the trails of
the EEC.
The program is free.

River Rats
Saturdays, May 3, 10, 17, and 24 from 10:30 A.M. to 12:00 Noon
Children age 5 to 8 will enjoy a weekend learning adventure, joining a
Naturalist for a themed exploration of the Great Swamp.
Fee is $36 per person for the 4-day session.

The Green Team
Saturday, May 3 from 1:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M.
Children ages 12 to 15 who have to fulfill a community service
requirement for school will enjoy the educational and fun activities
at the Environmental Education Center.

ADULT & FAMILY PROGRAMS
Green-Wood Cemetery
Wednesday, April 30 from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.
Adult birders will enjoy a day at the beautiful Green-Wood Cemetery in
Brooklyn, New York, exploring the 478 acres of hills, valleys,
glacial ponds, and paths.
Fee is $50 per adult & $40 per senior per person.

Blue “BOBO (Buy One – Bring One) Fridays” bins now are located at the Environmental Education Center and Lord Stirling Stable in Basking Ridge, as well as at the Somerset County Park Commission headquarters at North Branch
Park in Bridgewater. The public is invited to drop off canned food or personal-care items for donation to Somerset County food banks.
