IN SHORT

The Raiders couldn’t buy a basket in this game as they collectively shot 9-for-53 from the floor, including 3-for-17 from beyond the 3-point arc. Sophomore Matt Hornich led the Raiders with 9 points on 3-for-15 shooting.

As poor as the Raiders offense was, the Panthers let the Raiders hang around for most of the game, as the Raiders only trailed by 3-points after the third quarter.

For most of the game the Panthers played a slow methodical game on offense, often holding the ball for over 1-minute before attempting a shot. The Raider defense played well most of the game, holding the Panthers to only 20-points through three quarters of play. But in the decisive 4th quarter the Panthers hit three open 3-pointers to open up a 10-point lead and the Raider offense had no answer.

COACHES TAKE

“Our defense played OK, we held their best player to only one point. Our offense just couldn’t put anything in the basket. You’re going to have games where somebody is having trouble shooting. Tonight it was everyone.”– Raider Head Coach Ian Progin

UP NEXT – The Raiders travel to Immaculata Thursday January 5th to take on the Spartans at 7:00 p.m.
