Hillsborough Integrated Preschool Launches Lottery

Non-classified toddlers can win a spot in preschool program.

Hillsborough Township Public Schools is currently accepting lottery applications for the 2013-14 Integrated Preschool Program.

The district’s Integrated Preschool is a five days a week program (with every other Monday off). It is open to residents of Hillsborough who turn 3 or 4 by Oct. 1, 2013. The 3-year-old class runs from 8:30 a.m. — 11:17 a.m., and the 4-year-old class is held from 12:17 p.m. —3:05 p.m.

The program provides a safe and nurturing experience in which both special needs and typically developing children can play and learn together in an integrated learning environment that utilizes a developmental approach. Each class will serve eight typically developing students and up to seven students with special needs. Both classes are taught by a dual certified teacher in special education and P-3 general education. Two teaching assistants in each class provide the teacher and students with additional instructional support.
