Police: Drunken Man Hits Amwell Road Utility Pole

The following arrest record was provided by the Hillsborough Township Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A New Brunswick man received an intoxication charge after allegedly hitting a utility pole on Amwell Road.

Jose Martinez-Pacheco, 27, of New Brunswick, was charged with driving while intoxicated after the gold Infiniti he was driving allegedly struck a utility pole on Amwell Road on Jan. 9.

Martinez-Pacheco was released after also being charged with careless driving, failing to maintain a lane and refusing to submit to breath testing.

William Pepe, 22, of Skillman, was charged with driving while intoxicated while allegedly driving a black Hyundai on Route 206 on Jan. 21. Pepe allegedly obtained breath test results of .17 percent blood alcohol and was released after also being charged with tailgating and failing to keep right.

Four residents of Peterson Road. Victoria Court, Eastwick Route and Rowland Drive reported bricks thrown through the windows of vehicles during the overnight hours on Jan. 12.

A 17-year-old from Hillsborough was taken into custody for driving while intoxicated after allegedly being involved in a one-car accident on Heitz Lane on Jan. 6. Nobody was injured in the accident and the juvenile was released to the custody of a guardian.
