Hillsborough Woman Charged With DWI After Sunday Crash

The following arrest information was supplied by the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office. It does not indicate a conviction.

The driver of a 2005 Dodge pickup truck that overturned on East Mountain Road Sunday has been charged with driving while intoxicated, according to a release from the Somerset County Prosecutor's Office.

Carol Polinsky, 43, of Roycefield Road, was allegedly observed to be under the influence of alcohol at the crash scene by Hillsborough Township Police. Her blood has been drawn for analysis while at Robert Wood Johnson University Medical Center in New Brunswick.

According to the release, Polinsky was travelling south on East Mountain Road at about 5:14 p.m. Sunday. As she approached the intersection of Mountain View Road, the truck veered onto the right shoulder and into a small ravine. The truk came out of the ravine and back onto the road, rotating in a counter-clockwise direction and crossed into the opposite lane of traffic. It then went off the roadway, tipped over and came to rest on the passengers' side.
