HHS Competition Cheerleaders Ready for 2012-13 Season

The Hillsborough High School Competition Cheer squad is getting ready to kick off their 2012-2013 season with a quest to make a return visit to The National High School Cheerleading Championship.

HHS Competition Cheerleaders Begin 2012-13 Season

The Hillsborough High School Competition Cheer squad is getting ready to kick off their 2012-2013 season with a quest to make a return visit to The National High School Cheerleading Championship.  The NHSCC is the most prestigious cheerleading championship in the country and is held at the Walt Disney World® Resort in Orlando, Florida, and nationally televised on ESPN and ESPN2 to over 100 million homes and 32 countries nationwide each year.

The HHS Competition squad, which has been practicing since August, will compete in their first competition on Sunday, November 4th at Bridgewater-Raritan High School in the 2012 Skylands Conference Championship.  Also, at this competition will be the announcement of the First Team, Second Team, and Honorable Mention Team for the Skyland Conference Cheerleaders.  5 Cheerleaders from Hillsborough High School were selected to tryout this year for this honor on Wednesday, October 24th..  Those selected were senior Stefani Levonaitis, juniors Katie Brownlie, Lyndsey Gatzemeyer, and Alexa Hudak, along with sophomore Sam Goldstein.
