An Independent Candidate/Dad/Small Business Owner/Coach/Laundry Masters Perspective

There are few things like running your first campaign that can prepare you for running your first campaign. Thank goodness for letters of recommendation from neighbors to be able to post..

Independent campaigning is a non-stop learning curve that teaches as it continues. I can attest to learning that their is no win/lose situation for any political race. Either we all win, or we all lose. The individual candidates are not the ones who win or lose.

The storm has taken some great big trees down and uprooted many others. Do our part and continue to help where we can.

I am posting a recommendation letter I recently recieved. I appreciate the Petersens taking the time to write it, I could always use help, and the election is just in a few    hours.. Get out and Vote!

RE:  Letter of Recommendation

 To Whom It May Concern,

I am writing to provide a letter of recommendation for Mr. Judd Mandell.  It was during the recent storm, Sandy, which devastated New Jersey, that my family and I learned more about Mr. Mandell.  We happened to be fortunate enough to have minimal damage to our home (lost roof shingles, damage to other structures on our property), but the biggest problem we encountered was a 40 foot oak tree that stands about 15 feet from our home.  One of the main limbs of the tree had suffered a vertical split and was in trouble of crashing down, possibly on our home.  I called around to numerous businesses in the area about having someone cut down this limb, safely, and to avoid having my home damaged.  All the businesses in the area were either not taking phone calls, had voicemails that were full or have not yet returned my phone calls.

I reached out to Mr. Mandell, as I have seen his business truck in the neighborhood and have met him a few times from being out in the neighborhood.  When he learned of my predicament, he was more than willing to come over to my home, inspect the tree and assess the situation.  He alerted me that the tree was a concern and he would make room in his schedule to have the tree taken care of ASAP, as to avoid a potential disaster.  He and his crew came out first thing in the morning and the limb was cut down in sections and was no longer a liability to my family or our home.  They were very professional and courteous and it is in my dealings with Mr. Mandell that I have found him to be a person that has demonstrated high moral values, a commitment to serve others with the purest intent and a dedication to his neighborhood.  I feel that all these traits would enable Mr. Mandell to be a very successful addition to the Township Council of Hillsborough.

 Thank you,

Mr. and Mrs. James Petersen and family
