Hillsborough Junior Wrestling team defeats Union
Hillsborough Raiders Central Jersey team wins against Union.
The Hillsborough Central Jersey wrestling team travelled to Union and won45 to 29. Evan Karolewski led the Raiders with a fall in the 50 pound match. 53 pounder Tyler Oram won a hard fought 9 to 6 decision at 53 pounds. At 57 pounds Cole Psmenecki collected his 5th pin of the season to make the score 15 to 0. Austin Quandt lost a hard fought decision at 60 pounds 6 to 3. AJ Johnson battled hard at 63 pounds coming up just short with a score of 7 to 6. At 70 pounds Vinnie Aboosmara won by decision 4 to 1 over a tough Union opponent and Zach Volpe won by forfeit at 73 pounds. Kevin Quabeck pinned his 5th opponent on the season in the 77 pound contest. At 83 pounds Ray O' Callahan won by forfeit. Veteran co-captain Brian Musumeci pinned his opponent in the 95 pound weight class making the score 42 to 23. This pin iced the match giving the Raiders a 19 point lead with only 3 matches left. Jack Boylan closed out the scoring with a hard fought 6 to 0 decision in the 110 pound weight class.
