Photos: Sandy's Aftermath in Hillsborough

The damage the superstorm brought was evident throughout the township on Tuesday.

The high winds that Hurricane Sandy, a post-tropical cyclone by the time it hit the area, brought with it caused plenty of damage, downed trees and power lines throughout Hillsborough.

According to officials earlier on Tuesday, about half the township was without power. The hardest hit areas were in the south and southeast portions of the township, with some areas north of Triangle Road keeping power, according to Township Administrator Anthony Ferrara.

On Tuesday long lines were seen at gas stations such as the Quick Chek on Route 206, with people ready to fill gas cans for generators.
