Intercepted Planes Land at Central Jersey Airport
Two small aircrafts reportedly breached a no-fly zone over New Jersey and New York.
Less than a month after a plane fell short of Hillsborough's Central Jersey Airport runway, overturning as it attempted to land, the airport reportedly had a different type of unexpected landing on Monday.
This time, it was two small planes that had been intercepted over Somerset County by a pair of F-22 fighters, according to a report by the Star-Ledger.
The report said the two planes were flying overhead during a time when New Jersey and New York were under a temporary flight restriction that was set up for non-commercial planes. The planes were intercepted by the fighters late Monday morning, and landed at the airport without incident.

It was only on Sept. 6 that a twin-engine plane crashed at the airport, causing non-life-threatening injuries to its two occupants.
