Controversial Center Plan on Tap at Planning Board

The Planning Board's continuing review of the proposed 34,115-square foot residential psychiatric treatment center will likely draw a crowd to Thursday's meeting, as residents near the proposed center try to mobilize opposition to the plan.

The board last discussed the proposal in October—we'll bring coverage of this week's meeting, as well as an update of the Rescue Squad's plans to open a facility near Hamilton Road to service the eastern part of Hillsborough more quickly.

The plan got a big boost last week, when the Township Committee moved to help the squad complete a purchase agreement for the land the facility would be build on.
