You omitted Wellcare Family Practice which is run by Dr Neepa Merchant. She, by far, is the best children's doctor in Hillsborough. She takes the time to listen which sets her apart from the rest.

Hi Grace, Thank you for letting us know. Wellcare Family Practice has been added.

If anyone has a strong, experienced based recommendation, I'd be very thankful. We have used Somerset Pediatrics (several of the doctors at several of their locations) for our first child and had mixed to poor experiences. Now that the second is coming, we are hoping to start things off in a more positive way.

To Concerned Citizen, We switched from Somerset Pediatrics to Hillsborough Pediatrics about 6 years ago and could not be happier. The main reason we switched was that we always saw different doctors but even when we saw the same ones they did not remember us even if it was just a week or two later. My son has asthma so we are always seeing doctors. We waited for a long time in the waiting area and really felt like a number. Upon switching we always see 1 of the 2 doctors in the office and both of them know my children and us by face and remember everything (even things we forget). They are caring, sincere and really take the time needed to make sure we are happy. Wait times are usually 5-10 minutes. We could not be happier we made the switch. We would never go back to Somerset Pediatrics and become an unknown again. By the way a couple years ago they stopped accepting new patients so the only way to switch to them is with the birth of a new child. Congratulations on your upcoming baby and do yourself a favor and make the switch and give them a try.

We use Somerset Pediatrics and after going to an orientation we chose one of the Hillsborough Drs as our sons primary to use for all scheduled appointments. We were told up front that a group practice may not be for everyone if you want you child to see the same Dr. However in an emergency situation a smaller practice may not be open. Our son has received great care there so far and we prefer the group since one Dr can't know every thing and it is nice to some times get another Dr take on things or they confer amongst themselves.

Concerned citizen, I second everything that David said. I made the switch from Somerset Pediatrics to Hillsborough Pediatrics about 6 years ago as well. I was frustrated with having to always wait forever in the waiting room and then when I finally got to see a doc they wouldn't even know my daughter or what had been going on with her. Also I found the receptionist to be very rude at the Hillsborough practice at that time. The last straw was when my daughter had a fever for over a week and I continued to bring her back to the doc and they kept telling me to just treat her fever it was just a virus. I was a new mom, but I knew something wasn't right with my daughter, so finally after going back a fourth time and having to explain what was going on to yet another doc, they finally sent us to the hospital to get her checked out and it turned out she had pnuemonia. After that I decided I wanted a smaller practice and doctors who would know me and my kids. I couldn't be happier with Hillsborough Pediatrics. They are very caring and all 4 of my daughters love them. I have never waited more than 10 minutes to see the doctor. Yes, they do have limited hours and are not open all weekend and late at night like Somerset Pediatrics, but I have always been able to reach them when my daughters have been sick over the weekend and when they have been sick and the office is closed, I have taken them to Your Doctors Care. I would highly recommend Hillsborough Pediatrics.

We also made the switch from Somerset to Hillsborough Pediatrics and are glad we did. Dr. Hussain is extremely thorough and always reachable. He remembers our children's histories and always leaving you feeling like your child's health is important to him personally. He seems to always follow up with a phone call (personally), even when there isn't necessarily a specific issue (e.g. test result) to share.

Hillsborough pediatrics is a small practice which appealed to me. I have had experience in the past with large parctices and was very unhappy. Dr. Hussain and Dr. LaRiviere are very thorough and my children love them. I would recommend them to everyone.!!!

I also had similar (bad) experiences with Somerset Pediatrics years ago and switched doctors. It seems like since patients at Somerset Pediatrics are bounced from one doctor to the next, if an initial diagnosis is made that requires follow-up because the condition worsened, a lot of time is wasted because every doctor has a different approach and may not be able to get the complete picture from the notes made by the previous physician in the file. If you want to go to an amazing doctor who is the sole care provider for her practice, her name is Dr. Lisa Morton. She is in Flemington, right on Rt. 202, and her practice is called Quality Care Family Practice. She's a family doctor, not just a pediatrician. We like going to her because everyone in our family can see her, not just adults or children, and all of our records are in one place. She takes the time to speak with each patient and make a thorough diagnosis. She has an excellent bedside manner, never keeps patients who have appointments waiting long at all, and is worth the 20 minute drive.

Hillsborough Pediatrics. No question. And I have had to call late at night on more than one occasion (high fevers and such) and have always received a call back in less than 10 minutes. My kids LOVE going, and that says enough for me.

Hillsborough Pediatrics is convenient, comfortable, knowledgable, and caring. We have been so pleased with the attention to detail and experience we have received for our children from Dr. Hussein and Dr. LaRiviere. They recently added a Pediatric RN to their staff who comes with a lot of experience with Special Needs children, which is great for us. If you can make the switch, they are the best in town!

Hillsborough Pediatrics. Everything above is on the money. Dr. Hussein and Dr. LaRiviere deliver compassionate intelligent care without fail.

I love Hillsborough Pediatrics! I have been here for 6 years through the birth of all 3 of my children. Their waiting time is minimal, if not non existent, and I never feel rushed at my appointments. Both doctors recognize me and my children on sight and I feel there is personal touch that can't be achieved in larger practices. Also important to me is the care of my oldest son. He presented with some special needs early on and never once did I feel that my concerns were being dismissed. Steps were taken to investigate and ultimately provide him with the necessary treatment, in a timely manor, which has made a world of difference!! Thank you Dr. Aimee and Dr. Hussein!

I found the staff at Somerset Pediatrics to be rude and I too, felt my children were just a number. We have been at Hillsborough Pediatrics since they opened and they are the warmest, caring physicians hands down! The best part is when your child sees one doctor, they keep notes for the other doctor. If you need to call at night, they both know what is going on . . . A+ for teamwork.

Hillsborough Pediatrics is the model upon which all doctors should base their practice. Never a wait, the doctors know my child's history and they genuinely care about their patients. When your kids like to go to the doctor, that tells you something right there! Dr. Hussain and Dr. Aimee are the best. I would NEVER go anyplace else. Somerset Pediatrics was a nightmare.

I have been with Hillsborough Pediatrics since they began. All 4 of my children love Dr. Lariviere and Dr. Hussain. They are extremely knowledgeable, caring, and thorough. I am always welcomed by them personally, and we are made to feel important to them every time we come in. The receptionist is very kind and helpful too. We have received excellent care from them for many years.

I agree Somerset Pediatrics is horrible. I've had numerous bad experiences there and finally switched- couldn't be happier. They are rude and inexperienced, bad with kids and offered no support or advice. My daughter has sleeping issues, the dr. said just lock her in her room, she'll sleep eventually.. that's not how I parent my children!

We have been with Bel-Mont Pediatrics for about five years. It's a single practitioner office with Dr. Vaidehi Jonna, who takes great personal attention with my children. She is thorough and patient with questions. I've found her to be available whenever I've needed her. The one time my child needed to see a doctor while Dr. Jonna was on vacation, I found her backup physician to be very good. My child was hospitalized recently and Dr. Jonna called me both at the hospital and once we returned home to see how he was doing; she really cares about her patients. The staff are friendly and polite. If you are looking for an excellent doctor with whom you can develop a relationship, I highly recommend Bel Mont Pediatrics. The office is located in Mountainview Plaza.
