Where Do You Eat Outside in Hillsborough?

Here's a list of places where you can enjoy a meal while you feel the breeze and soak up some sunshine.

One of the greatest summertime pleasures is dining alfresco. When the weather is just too nice to take a seat inside, head to one of these eateries in Hillsborough for a good meal with a view to match.

Cafe Piazza

You don't need a large patio area to offer a pleasant outdoor dining experience—just good food and a table or two outdoors. Cafe Piazza offers both, with pizza and Italian fare served in the shady sidewalk in front.

Farm Barn Cafe at Duke Farms

Offers muffins, mini quiches and other light refreshments, and a lunch menu that includes salads, panini sandwiches, homemade soups, healthy snacks and whole fruits.

Five Guys Burgers and Fries

Famous for their fries and free peanuts, Five Guys has a few outside tables for dining. Burgers and hot dogs are the main fare here, but you can get a veggie burger, too.

Old Man Rafferty's

Tucked beside the restaurant's main entrance, the outside tables provide evening light in a quiet setting. The restaurant's menu offers a complete American and Italian fare dinner, from steaks, ribs and burgers to Pasta Sinatra and Three Cheese Ravioli.

Petrock's Bar and Grill

With a menu offering American Cuisine and popular vegetarian choices, the outdoor dining experience at Petrock's gets high marks.

Pheasant's Landing

Live music and a fun atmosphere make this Hillsborough's most popular outdoor dining—you'll want to get there early for a good table. The menu is American-Continental—try the Wienerschnitzel for a refreshing taste.

Royce Brook Golf Club

If you enjoy gazing at green while dining, head for Royce Brook: the Golf and Green Restaurant overlooks the club's fairways and greens. Speaking of greens, the entrees all include the Royce Brook Signature Salad, which you can have served with Penne Vodka, Tilapia "Oreganato," Cajun Chicken or a Rib Eye Steak.
