Meet Local Business Leaders at Saturday's Expo

Library's event includes community members working to build Hillsborough's local business environment.

Come meet local business leaders and officials at the Hillsborough Public Library's first Small Business Expo, set for 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday.

Business advocacy organizations including the township's Business Advocate, SCORE, the Small Business Development Center, the Somerset County Business Partnership, and the NJ Business Action Center will be available to provide advice and support for entrepreneurs and new business startups.

Organizations that assist small businesses with financing and growing their business will be in attendance such as Affinity Federal Credit Union, the Intersect Fund, Simply Talk Media, and Administrative Services and Consulting, LLC.  New and established small businesses in Hillsborough will be participating to promote community awareness of their products and services.

The library is collaborating with the Hillsborough business community to encourage residents to buy local.  It is with enthusiasm that the library, within the townships community center at the municipal building, builds upon the reputation of Hillsborough as one of the premiere communities in the country to live in, as rated in “Money” and “NJ Monthly” magazines.

Township residents are encouraged to become familiar with the small businesses that will be in attendance, such as Joy2Dance, Retro Fitness, the Art Academy of Hillsborough, Health Republic Insurance, and A Greener NJ, LLC.

Door prizes, literature, and light refreshments will be offered.  Further information can be found at the library’s website and online calendar at www.sclsnj.org.  Registration is encouraged but not required.  Celebrate Hillsborough as a great place to live, work, and support our local commerce!
