Local Shop Adds Innovative Hard-Drive Repair Service

Using new equipment, Dave's Computers can help save data when computers crash.

One of the greatest fears of the computer age is the loss of files that occurs when a computer's hard drive fails.

Sure, you can send it off to a company who may be able to recover it—but th expense can be high.

Hillsborough's Dave Molnar, owner of Dave's Computers on Route 206, recently acquired new equipment that enables him to offer the same service, more affordably and quicker.

"The equipment I purchased is really revolutionary and is new," he said. "I am one of the few who has this device in the country."

Molnar said the device can recover data from corrupted hard drives, lost files, deleted files—and he's anxious to try it out.
