The Shoebox Tour is a modern juggling show that has performed all over the world in Canada, Ireland, Finland, Sweden, Japan, and Iceland. This spring, the show will return to America with a new international cast.
This year's tour was created by Peden and Jay Gilligan, who are both International Jugglers' Association (IJA) Gold Medal Winners. The duo created more than 700 new tricks made for four hands, as they researched, documented, and choreographed these tricks during an intense four-month training session in Germany.
Peden and Gilligan have both won the IJA Juniors Stage Championships, and both currently reside in Stockholm although they share American roots.
Both jugglers have extensive backgrounds in the field. Gilligan has peformed in 26 countries, and is the head juggling teacher at the Swedish National Circus School.
Wes started juggling at the age of three, and the online juggling community continues to vote him as the best one in the field.
Music during the show will be provided by Erik Nilsson, a graduate from the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. He will play a live original soundtrack on acoustic and electronic drums.
Nilsson has toured with Robyn, Dido, Coldplay, and also had the honor to perform in 2010 at the Royal Wedding of the Princess of Sweden.
