School's Library to Get New Furniture—Thanks to Bank's Program
Middle School's HSA taps into TD Bank affinity program to benefit classroom projects, school needs.
The library/resource center at Hillsborough Middle School will get some new furniture, thanks to a partnership between the school's Home and School Association and TD Bank.
TD Bank of Hillsborough partnered with the HSA to raise $7,803 for the furniture, as well as student and faculty programs at HMS this school year, through TD's affinity program.
The donation was based on an average balance of all TD Bank account holders who participate in the TD Bank Affinity Program and who have designated the HMS HSA as beneficiary of the bank's donation. HSA TD Bank Fundraiser chairwoman Denise Roth led this fundraiser with other HSA volunteers last August and September for the HMS HSA.
These funds will help pay for the upcoming installation of new furniture in the HMS library/resource center and for teachers' grants for student programs.
The prior school year over $10,000 was raised, which helped pay for the purchase of new HMS gym bleachers.
