The Hillsborough Police Department was developed in 1964, with just one paid police officer on duty - today the department has 51 officers, 15 civilian employees, one K-9 and is celebrating 50 Years of service.
The township plains on commemorating this milestone for the police department by placing special decals on marked patrol car and presenting an open house for the public on May 24 at the Police Headquarters.
Residents can tour the headquarters from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. on the same day as the township's annual Memorial Day Program.
