Early Enrollment For Bound Brook Synagogue 2014-2015 Religious School

Congregation Knesseth Israel (CKI) in Bound Brook is pleased to announce its early enrollment discount for the 2014-2015 Religious School academic year. Students who enroll by May 18th will be eligible for a $25 discount.

The youngest class, Temple Tots, engages students from ages 2-4 along with their parent or caregiver. The students learn basic Jewish concepts such as holidays, prayers and Bible stories, emphasizing multi-sensory approaches, age-appropriate crafts, stories and hands-on learning. Parents will learn ways to incorporate Jewish traditions into their home life. This class is open to families who are not members of CKI.

Classes for students from Kindergarten through Bar/Bat Mitzvah age (typically 7th grade) include studies of holidays, prayers, history and Bible stories as well as Hebrew reading and writing. Age appropriate methods - including multi-sensory approaches - are used in each class. Placement into Hebrew class sessions is based on both age and knowledge. Mentors are available for students who require additional assistance or tutoring with no additional charge.

The Teen Class focuses on moral lessons and relating Jewish values to their lives.

All classes meet on Sunday mornings throughout the school year. Students have one additional class during the week in their Bar/Bat Mitzvah year. The culminating individual Bar/Bat Mitzvah ceremony is customized for each student's needs, to ensure that they feel a sense of pride and accomplishment in becoming a Bar/Bat Mitzvah.

CKI takes pride in instilling in their students a strong Jewish identity through an understanding of prayers, holidays, lifecycle events, and a connection to the history of our people.

CKI is located at 229 Mountain Avenue, Bound Brook, NJ. For more information or to register, please go to www.ckibbnj.org or email school@ckibbnj.org.
