Budget Presentation Tops Events

A preliminary school budget will be presented Monday that outlines plans, new equipments and programs and other features for the 2012-2013 school year.

It's important to remember that the budget that's presented can still undergo changes before the April vote—so residents who want to express their opinions are invited to attend meetings on March 5, 12, and 26. All the meetings are set for 7:30 p.m. at

Here’s where to find Patch this week:

Monday: The Board of Education will have its preliminary budget hearing and vote during a special meeting set for 7:30 p.m. at Auten Road Intermediate School. Can’t get there? We’ll live tweet the hearing from @HillsboroPatch and have a story tomorrow morning.

Tuesday: Hillsborough High School’s musical opens this week, and we’ll be sitting down with the directors and cast to find out more about what went into this year’s production.
