16 Somerset County Municipalities To Receive Local Aid Grants

In an effort to help municipalities complete local transportation projects without putting the burden on taxpayers, the Christie Administration has award $81.6 million worth of NJDOT funded grants to 391 municipalities in New Jersey. The Municipal Aid Grant program received 653 applications, totaling $255 million worth of road work. 

The following Somerset County municipalities will be receiving Municipal Aid Grants: 

- Bedminster Township: Old Dutch Road East - $190,000
- Bernards Township: Somerville Road - $250,000
- Bernardsville Borough: Meeker Road - $225,000
- Bound Brook Borough: Church Street - $190,000
- Branchburg Township: Whiton Road, section 3 - $200,000
- Bridgewater Township: Country Club Road, Section V - $170,000
- Far Hills Borough: Rail Road Avenue, Prospect Street Road - $170,000
- Franklin Township: JFK Boulevard, Section 2 - $250,000
- Montgomery Township: Green Avenue - $175,000
- North Plainfield Borough: Wilson Avenue - $190,000
- Peapack & Gladstone Borough: Branch Road Reconstruction - $170,000
- Raritan Borough: Orlando Drive - $253,742
- Rocky Hill Borough: Montgomery Avenue - $80,000
- Somerville Borough: Bell Avenue - $190,000
- Warren Township: Dead River Road - $175,000
- Watchung Borough: Knollwood Drive, Deer Run - $190,000
