Hillsborough resident Dale Cyburt posted on her Facebook page that she's fine after two explosions near the finish line at the Boston Marathon killed 2 and injured dozens people this afternoon.

Cyburt and resident James Sellar were both registered for the race today, with Cyburt clocking 40K before the race was stopped.

Sellar completed the race at about 1:50 p.m., well ahead of the explosions that occurred at about 4 p.m.

Local residents are also anxiously checking up on friends and coworkers at the event, and local race organizer Gary Verhoorn said everyone he and the local runners'  community he's in contact with are all reported fine, including his Hillsborough Massage Therapy coworker Kathy Borsuk.

"It's just very scary," Verhoorn said. "I was looking at the live feed (on the news), I know the course, I've run in it and it's so scary."
