Elizabeth "Lou" Keenan, 82, Was Active in Mary Mother of God Church

Wednesday services set.

Elizabeth “Lou” Keenan, 82, passed away Nov. 9, 2013 at the Regency Jewish Nursing home in Somerset.

She was born in Jersey City and lived in Kearny most of her life. She graduated from Kearny High School in 1948.

After graduation, her first job was in Linen Thread Co. in Kearny, later she worked at Weston Instruments in Newark for 25years.  In Kearny, she was a Girl Scout leader for several years.

After she retired and moved to Hillsborough in the late 1980s, she got a job at Lord and Taylor and worked there until 1990. 

Before she took ill she belonged to Mary Mother of God Church and was active in the Rosary Society.

Lou was predeceased by her mother, Marion, and father, Edward, also sisters Edwina and Evangeline and a brother Edward.

She never married but was loving sister-in-law to Robert Easton Sr. and loving aunt to Debra Rzemieniewski and husband Henry, Donna Martin, and husband Charlie, John Easton, and wife Emily, Denise Johnson, and Robert Easton Jr. She also was a great aunt to 11 nieces and nephews and great great aunt to 6 children. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Nov. 13 at Mary, Mother of God Church. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Services have been arranged by Cusick Funeral Home, in Somerville.
