ReplyKnowing we couldn't avoid the influence of technology, we got my 5-year-old grandson a Leapster Explorer and educational games -- he's learning a lot while he's playing. Let's hope it's the best of both worlds!

My grandson should be losing his first tooth soon. My daughter's plan (based on what she has heard from her neighbors) is either $2 or $1 and a special toothbrush for the first tooth and $1 for each tooth after that.

When the kids were younger, the homemade gifts meant the world -- and still do, only now they're from grandkids! Today, instead of fighting the crowds at a restaurant or cooking at home , we have established a new tradition and share something we all enjoy -- going to a ballgame! The Patriots offer a great brunch (so I don't have to cook) and a chance for us all to share one of our favorite pasttimes.
