Cleaning out? Don't throw it out. No matter what you're trying to offload, two high school groups would be happy to take it off your hands. The Hillsborough High School Debate Team hosts its annual rummage sale this weekend, and is collecting everything from toys to furniture. Old clothes? The Hillsborough High School Band is happy to take care of those for you. The group will be collecting clothes and other items from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday. They'll take everything from clothes, briefcases, household goods, shoes (in different bags from the clothes, please) to toys. Take some time out to help Bridgewater firefighters this weekend.
We know, we know. Hillsborough Patch is all about Hillsborough and Hillsborough events. But two blood drives in neighboring Bridgewater top this weekend's events. The drives, held at two of Bridgewater's fire companys, will help two ill firefighters in that town. Though the drives are meant for the emergency services workers, those that donate will help other too. It's fairly common for blood banks to have lower-than-optimal blood stocks—and the demand is always high at the local hospitals that receive the blood. 'Leader of the Pack' comes to playhouse stage.
Classic rock music comes to the stage at Somerset Valley Playhouse, during performances of Leader of the Pack—a musical based on 1960's composer Ellie Greenwood.
