The NJ Youth Chorus hosts its annual Chocolate Festival this weekend

Old clothings, household linens, baby items and toys can help a local girl in remission from cancer and her family. The Auten Road Intermediate School Home and School Association hosts a clothing and household item drive to benefit Maria Farfan, an Auten Road student in remission from leukemia. They'll be collecting clothes, toys, linens and other items—which should be placed in tightly-tied plastic bags—at the school on Saturday. The weekend opens with Veterans Day ceremonies.
Hillsborough Township, like many towns in Somerset County, takes a day to thank residents who served in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines and Coast Guard this weekend. Its annual Veterans Day Ceremony is set for 7 p.m. Friday at the Hillsborough Municipal Complex Garden of Honor. A reception for the town's veterans will follow the ceremony.
