When Weis Markets open later this year, they may find it tough to crack Hillsborough's grocery business.
Hillsborough has long had more than one grocery store in town—but for many people, it's just a technical point: The ShopRite in Nelson's Corner rules the local grocery market like Justin Beiber rules pop music. Sure, some may hit the specials at Stop and Shop, or grab some fresh fruit at the 206 Farmer's Market, but the big money rings up at ShopRite. Pennsylvania-based Weis Markets thinks they see an opening in Hillsborough, an opportunity for a store offering a different take on the grocery business. Do you think it will work? Will you shop at the Weis Market when it opens later this year? Take our poll and tell us if you're counting the days or counting the coupons to take to ShopRite this weekend.
