Will You Shop at the New Grocery Store?

When Weis Markets open later this year, they may find it tough to crack Hillsborough's grocery business.

Hillsborough has long had more than one grocery store in town—but for many people, it's just a technical point: The ShopRite in Nelson's Corner rules the local grocery market like Justin Beiber rules pop music. Sure, some may hit the specials at Stop and Shop, or grab some fresh fruit at the 206 Farmer's Market, but the big money rings up at ShopRite. Pennsylvania-based Weis Markets thinks they see an opening in Hillsborough, an opportunity for a store offering a different take on the grocery business. Do you think it will work? I've moved from hillsborough to pa and there is a Weis that I shop now. I don't know LisaD if you have ever been in one, but I will tell you I enjoy shopping there. They do have great sales. Same as Shop-Rite with Perdue for instance buy one get one free. The produce dept is also very fresh, nice selection and they also run great sales in the summer.
