Work to replace the Municipal Building roof could begin as early as December.
Construction of a new roof on the Municipal Building could begin as early as December after the Township Committee awarded a $309,000 project contract to E.R. Barrett, Inc. last week. The project is not expected to close the building, and will occur during normal working hours, Township Administrator Mike Merdinger said. It’s the first step in the Township’s plan to replace the building roof, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) units, and to install solar panels on the building roof. “We’re happy to report that we’re moving forward on the roof project,” Mayor Gloria McCauley said. “The township sought competitive bids through the bid process. . .
