An accident closed Dukes Parkway West Friday morning, according to an alert by the Hillsborough Police Department. The road was subsequently reopened according to a second alert. Information issued through Nixle at 7:29 a.m. said the roadway was closed between Roycefield Road and Route 206. The alert said the closure was due to a motor vehicle accident. At 7:59 a.m., police issued a second Nixle alert saying the road was reopened.
Traffic light at jughandle for Dukes Parkway East was working again late Wednesday night.

As severe thunderstorms rolled through the state late Wednesday afternoon, a down tree blocked traffic on Dukes Parkway West for hours. The roadway was closed between Route 206 and Roycefield Road, according to a Nixle alert released by the Hillsborough Police Department at about 5:30 p.m. A Nixle alert sent shortly before 11 p.m. said the roadway was cleared. The traffic light at the jughandle for Dukes Parkway East was also not working properly, but was back functioning late Wednesday night, police said.
