Two Officers Heralded for Saving Lives
Chromowsky and Giraldi each receive police department's CPR Lifesaving Award.
The Hillsborough Township Committee Tuesday presented proclamations to two township police officers for their recent life-saving efforts. Hillsborough Police Chief Paul Kaminsky presented officers Damien Chromowsky and Christopher Giraldi each with the department's CPR Lifesaving Award. Chromowsky responded to a report of an unconscious female in her vehicle on Nov. 22, the proclamation said. Chromowsky found the woman who was sitting at the wheel of her car was not breathing, but had a pulse, the proclamation said. He deployed the defibrillator in his patrol car and began rescue breathing until the Hillsborough Rescue Squad arrived.
