More than $2,300 worth of jewelry was stolen from a Mountain View Road residence last weekend, Hillsborough Police said. The burglary occurred sometime between Friday, Sept. 21 and Monday, Sept. 24, police said. The Hillsborough Police detective unit is investigating the incident. No further information was provided.

Nearly $5,000 in jewelry and electronics were reported stolen from a New Amwell Road home earlier this month, Hillsborough Police said. According to an incident report released Friday, the residence was burglarized during the daytime hours of Aug. 9. Jewelry and electronics valued at $4,900 were reported stolen, police said. The Hillsborough Police Detective Bureau is investigating the incident.

Hillsborough Police are investigating a string of residential burglaries over the past month, including one where nearly $35,000 worth of jewelry and electronics was taken and a break-in attempt that was foiled when the resident woke up in the middle of the night. According to an incident report released Friday, a Meadowbrook Drive resident was awoken on April 29 by a "rattling noise" at about 3 a.m. When the resident went to investigate, a male voice was heard outside, police said. No further information on the incident was provided. A Hillsborough Road resident reported on May 6 that $34,900 worth of jewelry and electronics was stolen from the home sometime during the daytime hours, police said. Repeat theft of golf trophies at Somerset Hills Country Club, week after break-in at USGA Golf Museum.
For the second time this month, the Somerset Hills Country Club clubhouse in Bernardsville was broken into with several golf trophies stolen early Tuesday morning, authorities said. At the same time, Bernards Township say an investigation continues into a theft of golf trophies that took place last Wednesday from the collection at the United States Golf Association Museum. Somerset County Prosecutor Geoffrey Soriano on Tuesday afternoon that at approximately 3:30 a.m., Bernardsville patrol officers responded to an alarm activation at the country club's clubhouse on Mine Mount Road.
