With four shelters open in Somerset County—and more may be coming—your donations are needed.
The Somerset County Chapter of the American Red Cross has four emergency shelters open for area residents evacuated from their homes in the aftermath of Hurricane Irene.
Mal Plager, a coordinator for the Red Cross, has been checking on the shelters and notes the only way the shelters can function is with help from the public.
