Join the List of the Library's Friends

The Friends of the Hillsborough Public Library are seeking new members for active group.

Ringo may just get by with a little help from his friends, but patrons at the Hillsborough Public Library really depend on the library's friends.

Thanks to the Friends of the Hillsborough Public Library, and the donations the group provides for equipment and supplies, the library's patrons enjoy chairs for reading, tables for studying and more. Library programs are funded by the Friends, and the library's recent repainting was also the result of the group.

Last year, donations from the group helped equip a computer learning center in the Children's Library.

The equipment, improvements and programs are funded by projects such as the annual Friends of the Hillsborough Library book sale—slated for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 19 this year—and other programs.

It takes a lot of friends to coordinate and organize all of the efforts, so the group is looking to make some new Friends. Membership on the Friends of the Hillsborough Public Library is open to anyone who loves books and the library.
