Kim Canfield Named to All-Mid-Atlantic Soccer Team

Midfielder helped lead Arcadia University team to first championship.

Hillsborough student Kim Canfield, a junior at Arcadia University and member of the Arcadia University women's soccer team, was named a to the 2013 National Soccer Coaches Association of America All-Mid-Atlantic Region Team, the school announced Wednesday.

Canfield earned second-team honors at midfield.
 
She started in 20 of her 23 games, played while helping lead the Knights to a 13-4-6 overall record, and the program's first-ever ECAC South Championship in 2013.

Canfield led the team in scoring with 15 goals and a team-best 12 assists for 42 points. Her 12 assists were also the most in the Commonwealth conference, while here totals in points and goals placed her second and sixth in the league, respectively.
 
Canfield was additionally named to the 2013 Capital One Academic All-District Women's Soccer Team, which is selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America, and was named a First-Team All-Commonwealth Conference selection for the second straight year.
