Somerset Patriots Release 2013 Schedule

Team hosts 70 games at TD Bank Ballpark in upcoming season.

Bridgewater, NJ- The Five-Time Atlantic League Champion Somerset Patriots have announced their schedule for the 2013 season.

The Patriots will begin the season at home with Opening Day on Thursday, April 18th with a 7:05 pm game against the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs.

The Patriots will host 70 home games at TD Bank Ballpark during the 140 game Atlantic League schedule running from Thursday, April 18th through Sunday, September 15th.

The Patriots will host 33 home games on weekends and are currently putting together the promotional calendar that includes fireworks nights, giveaways, and theme nights for what will be the 15th Season Anniversary of their home, TD Bank Ballpark.

The Patriots will host a special 15th Anniversary Celebration for the ballpark on Friday, June 7th, which is the date the ballpark hosted its first game in 1999. There will also be several other events during the season to recognize the milestone.

Start times for Monday through Saturday games will normally be 7:05 pm from April through September. Sunday games in April, May, June, and September will be 1:05 pm and Sundays in July and August will be 5:05 pm. The Wednesday, May 29th game will start at 6:35 pm.

The Patriots will host five 11:05 am weekday games on Wednesday, April 24th, Thursday, May 30th, Tuesday, July 23rd, Wednesday, August 7th, and Tuesday, August 13th. The July 23rd and August 7th games will feature scheduled Day-Night Double Headers with the second game scheduled for 7:05 pm.

The Patriots will host a special Father’s Day Celebration on Sunday, June 16th.

“It’s always exciting when you get the schedule and can really begin planning for the season. The off-season flies by, and before you know it, it will already be Opening Day. We have a lot that we are working on to make 2013 a great season for our fans and a celebration of our first 15 seasons at TD Bank Ballpark,” said Patrick McVerry, President/General Manager of the Somerset Patriots Baseball Club.
