Nominations Remain Open for Economic Vitality Awards
The Somerset County Business Partnership has announced that nominations are now being accepted for the 2014 Economic Vitality awards. The awards recognize businesses at the forefront of job creation and contribution to the economic vitality of Somerset County. Award deadline is Friday, September 5, 2014 at the close of business.
Recipients will be honored at the Somerset County Business Partnership Annual Meeting Luncheon on Monday, December 15, 2014 at the Palace at Somerset Park, 333 Davidson Avenue in Somerset, New Jersey. The Annual Meeting is one of Somerset County’s Signature Events attracting public and private sector leadership from across the state.

To be considered for nomination private sector companies must have made a positive impact on the quality of life and economic vitality in Somerset County in areas including job creation and retention, job training and retraining, sales growth, profitability and reinvestment, increased assets, and influx of new dollars from outside the area.
Nominations for 501(c)3 non-profits should show that the organization has made significant impact on the quality of life of the targeted constituency and the County in the areas of growth of constituency served, innovative programming, and contribution of volunteer base.
Nominees must be members of the Somerset County Business Partnership. There is no limit to the number of nominations that any one individual or company may submit.
“The Economic Vitality Awards recognize businesses that are representative of Somerset County’s well planned growth,” stated Diana Sieberg, Vice-President, Member Services for the Business Partnership. “Recognizing these accomplishments at the Annual Meeting, a Signature Events of the Business Partnership, shows the entire Somerset County community that dedication, creativity, and hard work lead to success.”
Recent award recipients include: M&E Engineering, Primus Green Energy, The Center School, Bridgeway Senior Healthcare, ProCure Proton Therapy Center, Somerville Aluminum, Somerset County Library System, Ortho Clinical Diagnostics, Voltaix LLC, Bridgewater Overhead Door, AT&T, STS Tire Service, Raritan Valley Community College, Somerset County United Way, PNC Bank: Verve American Bar & Restaurant; Viking Termite & Pest Control; Women’s Health & Counseling Center; and Somerset Patriots Baseball Club.
