Woodfern Elementary School Boys Launch Weather Balloon 109,500 Into The Air

As a science fair project - Woodfern Elementary School students, Alex Villa and Nishaant Shah, launched a weather balloon equipped with scientific measuring tools and two high definition cameras into the air from Union Canal Tunnel Park in Lebanon, Pa.

Designed for high altitude flights, the balloon stayed in the air for 2 hours and 36 minutes and flew around an altitude of 109,500 feet before landing in Boonton Township, N.J. Two GPS devices also attached to the balloon were used to track its whereabouts about 122 miles away from its original launch site.
