Wind Ensemble Selected for Exclusive Festival

Each week, Whiz Kids recognizes the achievements of local students. This week, we recognize the Hillsborough High School Wind Ensemble.

 

  • Whiz Kid's Name: The Hillsborough High School Wind Ensemble 
  • Whiz Kid's Age: The 40-student Wind Ensemble is made up of high school sophomores, juniors and seniors. An audition is required for acceptance into the Wind Ensemble.
  • Whiz Kid's School: Hillsborough High School
  • Whiz Kid's Accomplishment: An audition tape was submitted and Hillsborough was one of six bands chosen to perform at the Rutgers Mid-Atlantic Honors Wind Band Festival. The concert was Thursday, Feb. 17 at  the Nicholas Music Center at Rutgers.
  • Whiz Kid's Key to Awesomeness: These kids are successful because of their dedication and commitment to music.
