Three Auten Road Teachers to Retire This Year
After more than 40 years with the district, Diane Grabas among those leaving.
The accepted on Monday night the retirements of three teachers, including one with more than 40 years experience in the district.
The school board approved the retirement of sixth-grade teacher Diane Grabas at Auten Road Intermediate School. Grabas joined the school district on Sept. 1, 1968.
“She has a record of phenomenal service to the district,” Superintendent of Schools Jorden Schiff said.

The board also accepted the retirement of fifth-grade teacher Cynthia Gabory at Auten Road and Nancy Budd, special education teacher at Auten Road.
Because she was not able to attend the , , flanked by her husband and two daughters, was sworn into a three-year seat on the school board at Monday’s meeting.
