Sundae 'Survivor' Has Sweet Rewards for Students

Four sweet sundaes could net a big payday for 's students.

That's because will reprise its class-versus-class Sundae Survivor competition, where each of the four grades designs a treat and competes to see which class can raise the most cash in sales.

The competition began March 1, and runs until March 25. Each sundae is $5. Each class will get $1 for each of their sundaes sold.

The class cabinets created four exciting sundaes. All sundaes have two portions of ice cream and three toppings and all are topped with whipped cream and a cherry.

The Seniors’ theme is Stars & Stripes and they named their sundae, “Oh Say Can You Sundae!”  It consists of vanilla ice cream with cookie dough, Mini M&Ms and hot fudge.

The Juniors’ theme is Junior Jaws and they are tempting you with the "Shark Bait Sundae": vanilla and chocolate ice creams with Oreos, Mini Kisses and blue sprinkles.

The Sophomore theme is “Show Tunes” and their sundae consists of vanilla ice cream with brownie bites, cookie dough and hot fudge

The Freshmen theme is Feeling Lucky and they chose to name their sundae "Brain Freeze."  It contains cake and mint chocolate chip ice creams with chocolate crunchies, brownie bites and cookie dough.

Each week there are cash prizes for teams that sell the most as well as an overall prize for the team having the highest final sundae tally. The last place team for the week is on “Redemption Island.”  By the next week, if they improve their standing and are no longer in last place for the week, they will win a bonus prize.

In addition to the regular competition, there will be several special features this year. The first, a buy now, eat later coupon, will allow the class to get the sale now, while the purchaser can redeem the coupon later. The coupons are valid until June 30.

Super Sundaes will have reward challenge days on Thursday, March 8 and Wednesday March 14. On these days you can purchase one of the survivor sundaes or create your own and have it count towards the class of your choice.

The shop will have an immunity challenge on Tuesday, March 20 and Wednesday March 21. In addition to the $1, the team will earn one point for each of their Survivor Sundaes sold. These points are added to the total number pf sundaes sold to determine the Final Sundae Tally Total.
