Allen Zdroik is a 13-year township resident who is seeking his first term on the Hillsborough Board of Education in Tuesday's election.
Zdroik, 47, is a stay-at-home father has two children with his wife, Susan. Their son Bradley, 15, is a freshman at Hillsborough High School and Thomas, 11, is a fifth-grader at Auten Road Intermediate School.
Patch asked Zdroik why he's seeking to be a member of the Board of Education, his thoughts on the current board's decision to than the state-mandated 2-percent tax levy cap, the challenges that face the district, his goals if elected and why Hillsborough residents should vote for him next week.
Zdroik is vying for one of three open Board of Education seats. Also running are incumbent , , and Deena Centofanti.
Current Board President and Vice President are not seeking re-election.
students will moderate a at the high school on Monday, April 16 at 7 p.m., before next Tuesday's election. Polls will be open next Tuesday from 2 to 9 p.m.
