iPad Program Could Extend to Other Schools [VIDEO]

The district's success with its iPad pilot program could mean having the devices in more schools.

After three months of its iPad pilot program, the is already considering—though it's in the beginning stages—including the devices in more district schools.

District Superintendent Jorden Schiff mentioned the possibility of expanding the program to fifth through 12th grades during an introduction to program pilot Tuesday morning. No formal plan has been released, as he was gathering input from the high school freshman in the class about incorporating the devices to those grade levels.

According to Director of Technology Joel Handler, the high school program required purchasing 41 iPads, 41 iPad cases, and 41 licenses for the Fuse application. The total cost of those purchases was $27,879.59
