Hillsborough Resident a Vo-Tech Salutatorian

John Tamanas will have a special place at graduation in a week.

Hillsborough resident John Tamanas will have a special place in the graduation next Friday.

Tamanas is the salutatorian this year in the school's Academy for Health and Medical Sciences. Suma Gondi, of Basking Ridge, is the valedictorian.  

will be the site of 148 students graduating with diplomas in 18 different vocational programs. The ceremony will be held at 7 p.m.

Principal Diane Ziegler will welcome graduates and their guests, with diplomas and awards presented by Superintendent Chrys Harttraft, Assistant Superintendent for Business/Board Secretary Diane Strober, Board of Education President William Hyncik, Jr., Vice President William Dudeck, Board of Education member Theodore Smith, and Board of Education member Dr. Alan Braun.

The Career and Technical Education valedictorian is Jefferson McGregor, of Warren, and the salutatorian is Seth Twombly, of Somerset.

Other dignitaries who are schedule to be in attendance include Freeholder Director Patricia L. Walsh, Freeholder Deputy Director Peter S. Palmer, Freeholder Robert Zaborowski, Freeholder Patrick Scaglione, Freeholder Mark Caliguire, and Executive County Superintendent Dr. Kathleen C. Serafino.

Walsh will address the graduates on behalf of the Somerset County Freeholders.

Following the ceremony a reception will be held in the cafeteria.
