Ewere's 39-Foot-4 Jump Ranks 2nd All-Time in County

Hillsborough places second behind Franklin at Skylands Conference relays.

Led by senior Ellie Ewere’s 39-foot-4 triple jump the girls track team finished second Saturday at the Skyland Conference Relays at Ridge High School.

Ewere’s jump was one for the record books, ranking second in Somerset County history and top-15 all-time in New Jersey. The county record is 40-3¼, which was set by Hillsborough’s Ebony Young in 2008.

Ewere also had the meet’s best effort in the long jump with a mark of 17-8, helping the Raiders finish second overall behind Franklin.
