The 15-Minute Child Break

The Hillsborough School District Life Skills Committee will host an evening event for parents and caregivers of students in grades 4 - 12 at Auten Road Intermediate School in the Media Center. The event, “The 15-Minute Child Break”, will be an hour long presentation that encourages and empowers parents to listen and communicate effectively with their children in order to prevent substance abuse. 

The program focuses on how to talk with your kids about substance abuse, how to discuss your own behaviors with your children, and a discussion of the peer pressure kids face on a daily basis. The program will educate parents on current trends in alcohol and substance abuse.
