During the evening the 2 Hillsborough Winterguards and the Bridgewater Winterguard will premier their 2012 shows. After the performances guests young and old are invited to join the guard members from both schools and try their hand at spinning flags. Guard members will be available to provide one on one instruction for a $10 donation.

At 7.15pm Bridgewater Winterguard will perform the Premier of their 2012 show “Reflecting Black”.  Guard Director Rick Delancy describes their production as featuring the music of "Swan Lake" as adapted by the motion picture "Black Swan" asking the question "Can a reflection consume you?" In their show Bridgewater High School's 2012 Winterguard will try to take the beast within.

At 7.30pm Hillsborough Scholastic A Winterguard is proud to present their 2012 program entitled "The Breaking of Dawn."  This winter's production explores the moment when a new day is born; the moment when the dark sky gives way to beaming sunlight which becomes the center of our lives.

At 7.45pm Hillsborough Scholastic Novice Winterguard will perform the Premier of their 2012 show “Statuesque”. Their show takes the audience on a journey depicting what it means to be a statue; a strong and confident creation but yet, a delicate and beautiful masterpiece.

Staff for both Hillsborough Guards include: Director Joe Dobis, Ed Devlin, Anthony Tanasy, George Mattis, ML Lawson, Sian Godwin, Stephen Cochran, Leah Walters, and Nicole Kulina.  Operations Manager Rick Ball

Winterguard is an indoor colorguard activity, derived from the outdoor activity which is part of the High School Marching Band. Instead of performing as a visual accent to the marching band, each Winterguard team picks its own music to perform to. This helps to encourage individuality. Winterguard teams are judged, not only on talent and precision, but also on creativity. There are multiple ways that winter guards perform. They can use various equipment (flags, rifles and sabers), props, and dance moves.

The Hillsborough Winterguard competes in two competition circuits Winterguard International (http://www.wgi.org/) and Mid-Atlantic Indoor Network (http://www.mainguards.com/). These competitions involve travel to venues across the East Coast, including in 2012 regional competitions in Connecticut and the World Championships in Dayton Ohio. Our fundraising activities help to cover the cost of travel to these events and the equipment costs.

Tickets for the 3 course Soup, Salad and Ice Cream Sundae bars are $10 per person; $8.00 for Seniors (55 and up) and children (under 5), at the door or in advance. Takeouts are also available. Proceeds from the evening will be used to purchase new equipment and to fund travel costs for competitions.
